PRESTON MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY David B. Fein, the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that CURTIS ALAN SPICER, 52, of Preston, pleaded guilty yesterday, June 9, before Chief United States District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to one count of possession of child pornography. According to statements made in court, forensic analysis conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on SPICER’s computer revealed that it contained numerous images of child pornography. When he is sentenced by Judge Thompson on August 27, 2010, SPICER faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000. This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Computer Crimes Task Force and is being prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant United States Attorney Anthony E. Kaplan. | |
