MILFORD MAN SENTENCED TO 37 MONTHS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR SELLING GUNS AND DRUGS TO A CONVICTED FELON

David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that RICHARD PASCONE, 55, of Milford, was sentenced today by Senior United States District Judge Warren E. Eginton in Bridgeport to 37 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for selling firearms and narcotics to a convicted felon.  On September 15, 2010, PASCONE pleaded guilty to one count of illegally selling a firearm to a convicted felon, and one count of illegally possessing oxycodone.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on separate occasions, PASCONE sold a shotgun, a handgun loaded with hollow point bullets and a semi-automatic pistol with an obliterated serial number to a convicted felon.  PASCONE was recorded during the investigation saying that he had added extra powder to the hollow point bullets so that they would “almost go through a...vest.”

PASCONE also sold oxycodone, a prescription painkiller, to the same individual.

During the investigation, PASCONE was recorded threatening to cut off a man’s hands with a chain saw.

PASCONE has been detained since his arrest on February 12, 2010.

This matter was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Stamford, Stratford, Bridgeport and Trumbull Police Departments.  The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ray Miller.
