On December 23, 2009, President Obama nominated Richard S. Hartunian to become the 48th United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York. Mr. Hartunian took office on January 3, 2010, with interim status until his confirmation by the United States Senate on February 11, 2010.

Albany, New York - Man was arrested and charged with impersonating a Deputy United States Marshal.

Brooklyn, New York - Man pled guilty to conspiracy to commit access device fraud, access device fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

Rochester, New York - Man was sentenced on his November, 2013 conviction for three counts of obstruction of justice and one count of making materially false statements.

Little Falls, New York - Man entered a guilty plea to the felony offense of aiding and assisting in thepreparation of false tax returns.

March 28, 2014

Schenectady, NY - Man was arraigned on a ten-count indictment charging him with wire fraud, misuse of a social security number, and possession with intent to use or transfer false identification documents.

Utica, New York - Woman plead guilty to an offense charging her with Sex Trafficking Of A Child.

Binghamton, New York - Man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison and to be followed by 10 years of post-release supervision.

Queens, NY - Man was sentenced to 69 months in federal prison on three counts of bribery of a public official.
