Organization of the Criminal Section
|
The Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division consists of a
Chief, three Deputy Chiefs, one Special Litigation Counsel,
approximately 25 line attorneys, and support staff, as well as the
National Church Arson Task Force (NCATF) Operations Team. The Section's
offices are located on the Fifth Floor of the Patrick Henry Building,
while the NCATF is housed at 409 Seventh Street, Suite 4, Washington,
D.C.
The Chief of the Criminal Section is Richard W. Roberts, (202)
514-3204. The Deputy Chiefs and their geographical areas of

The NCATF Operations Team, directed by Karla Dobinski, (202)
633-1144, consists of approximately six line attorneys from the Criminal
Section and on detail from other DOJ offices, four LECC analysts, and
other support staff. For more information on NCATF, see this manual at

At the top of correspondence from the Criminal Section will usually
appear a string of initials. The assigned line attorney's initials are
second from the right end. The following list of Criminal Section
attorneys is provided to assist in deciphering the initials and
facilitate direct contact with the assigned line attorney.
