Compelling Specific Handwriting

An accused or subpoenaed person may be compelled to duplicate
specific
language. United States v. Doe, 405 F.2d 436, 438 (2d Cir.
1968). It is
within the court's power to direct a person to provide a
handwriting sample of
other than normal writing, as by requiring the individual to
provide writing with
a backhand or backward slant. Matter of Special Federal Grand
Jury, 809
F.2d 1023 (3d Cir. 1987).
