U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Visits Middle District of Florida


October 28, 2011

On October 28, 2011, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart traveled to Tampa to join U.S. Attorney Robert E. O'Neill and law enforcement officials to announce the results of Operation Pill Nation II. This coordinated effort targeted every aspect of the prescription drug supply chain, including the operators of rogue pain clinics, and unethical physicians and pharmacists operating in the Middle District of Florida. In addition to this announcement, Mr. Holder took the time to meet with Tampa Bay area law enforcement executives and the USAO Middle District staff.
