INDICTMENT FILED AGAINST CLINCH COUNTY MAGISTRATE JUDGE
Maxwell Wood, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia announced that on September 21, 2007 the Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Georgia filed a two count indictment against LINDA C. PETERSON, Associate Magistrate Judge for Clinch County, Georgia.
Count One of the indictment charges violations of perjury under Title 18 United States Code, Sections 1623.
Count Two of the indictment charges violations of false statements under Title 18 United States Code, Section 1001(a)(2).
Each count of the indictment carries the maximum penalty of five (5) years imprisonment; $250,000.00 fine; and three (3) years supervised release.
