Crack Cocaine Dealer Convicted

Maxwell Wood, United States Attorney announces that on January 10, 2008, ANDRICUS STEPHENS, age 22, of Jeffersonville, Georgia was sentenced before Honorable Hugh Lawson, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, to 15 months in federal prison without parole for violation of Title 21 United States Code, Section 841(a)(1), Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine.

Stephens entered a plea of guilty to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine on December 30, 2004 and stipulated that he willfully possessed 11.11 grams of cocaine with the intention to distribute it.

The case was investigated by the Middle Georgia Drug Task Force and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).  It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Verda Colvin.
