DRUG DEALERS SENTENCED

United States Attorney Maxwell Wood, Middle District of Georgia, Albany Division, announces the sentencings of Jack Carlton Williams, III of Albany, Georgia and Jarvis Nichols of Montezuma, Georgia.  The Honorable W. Louis Sands, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Georgia sentenced both defendants on April 10, 2008.            

Jack Carlton Williams, III was sentenced to serve 162 months (13.5 years) without parole in federal prison, 3 years supervised release, and a $100 mandatory assessment fee.  Williams pleaded guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.  The  case was investigated by Special Agent Ashley Lightner, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Macon Office along with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.

Jarvis Nichols was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 288 months (24 years) without parole in federal prison, 5 years of supervised release and a $100 mandatory assessment.  Nichols pleaded guilty to Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.  This case was investigated by Sumter Drug Task Force.
