VILLAGE GREEN CLEAN-UP TO BE HELD

The residents of Village Green, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Tremont Temple Baptist Church, Green’s Tabernacle Baptist Church, Macon Regional Crimestoppers, the N.A.A.C.P., Bibb County Fire Department, Macon Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Department, Mercer’s Upward Bound Program, NUMONEY Juvenile Justice, The Mentors Project of Bibb County, Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, several tree surgeons and the City of Macon Economic and Community Development and Parks and Recreation Departments will sponsor a neighborhood clean-up on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon in Village Green.   The volunteers are part of Project Unity,an initiative that is working toward reducing crime and improving the quality of life in the Bloomfield and Village Green neighborhoods.

Volunteers will gather at Village Green Park at 8:30 am and then spread out in teams around Village Green.  Lunch will be served for all volunteers at 12:00 noon at the park.
