Columbus Man Sentenced On Child Pornography Violation

Michael J. Moore, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced today that Ronald Feliciano, Jr., was sentenced on May 24, 2012, to a term of 78 months in prison by the Honorable Clay D. Land, Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Upon his release from prison, Feliciano will be subject to a term of supervised release for a period of25 years and he will be required to register with the sexual offender registry.   Feliciano pled guilty pursuant to a plea agreement on January 30, 2012, to one count of possession of child pornography in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section

United States Attorney Moore stated that, "With every viewing of these photos and videos, these children were victimized again. The United States Attorney's Office is dedicated to prosecuting all persons involved in the sexual exploitation of children to the fullest extent of the law."

Assistant United States Attorney Paul C. McCommon III prosecuted the case. The case was jointly investigated by agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service, and by the Columbus Police Department.
