Joaquin F. Taitano Sentenced In U.S. District Court
United States Attorney ALICIA A.G. LIMTIACO, U.S. Attorney for the Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI), announced that Defendant JOAQUIN TAITANO, age 35, from Yigo, was sentenced on December 6, 2013, in the District Court of Guam, to 30 months incarceration, three years supervised release, and 100 hours community service for Conspiracy to Distribute less than five grams of methamphetamine. TAITANO was charged in an indictment on April 27, 2013, with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, in violation of Title 21, U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). He pled guilty on June 28, 2011.The investigation was conducted by Task Force Agents from the Superior Court’s probation office assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Clyde Lemons.
