The United States Attorney’s Office for Hawaii announced today that on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, U.S. Attorney Ed Kubo will be the keynote speaker during a program commemorating Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month in Washington D.C. Kubo will be speaking in the Great Hall of the Robert F. Kennedy U.S. Department of Justice Building.

Kubo will speak about Asian American and Pacific Island heritage, cultural values, and how they have contributed to the strengthen of America. “I am so very honored to have the opportunity to speak in Washington D.C., and at the very podium where Presidents of the United States and Attorneys General for our Nation have spoken in the past,” Kubo said. I am truly proud of my heritage and from being from Hawaii, and I hope to show that during my speech.”
