Coralville Man Sentenced On Weapons Charge
DES MOINES, IA - On February 22, 2008, Timothy John Hildreth, age 22, of Coralville, Iowa, was sentenced to a term of 15 months of imprisonment for conspiracy to possess and manufacture an automatic weapon, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge James Gritzner also ordered Hildreth to serve a two year term of supervised release, and imposed an of $100.00 to the Crime Victim Fund.
On September 19, 2007, Hildreth entered a plea of guilty to the conspiracy to possess and manufacture an automatic weapon charge. At the time of his plea, Hildreth stipulated that from October 17, 2005 to and including October 27, 2005 he conspired with others in an attempt to manufacture a fully automatic weapon.
This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorneys Office for the Southern District of Iowa. This case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
