Huxley Man Sentenced On Child Pornography Charges
DES MOINES - On December 10, 2008, Karl Ronald Kluender, age 42, of Huxley, Iowa, was sentenced to a term of 120 months imprisonment for possessing child pornography, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Court Judge James E. Gritzner also ordered Kluender to serve a ten year term of supervised release upon his release from prison and pay a crime victim fund an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.
On August 15, 2008, Kluender pled guilty to the possession of child pornography charge. The case arose out of a search warrant executed on Kluender’s residence on June 8, 2007. As a result of this search warrant, law enforcement officers found images of child pornography stored on Kluender’s computer. Kluender was previously convicted of indecent contact with a child in Crawford County, Iowa in 2006.
This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. This case was investigated by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
