Davenport Man Sentenced as Armed Career Criminal
Davenport, IA- On January 9, 2009, Leon Dywone Simpson, 28, formerly of Davenport, IA, was sentenced to 127 months imprisonment for one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm as an Armed Career Criminal, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge John A. Jarvey also ordered that Simpson serve a term of 4 years supervised release following his incarceration, and to pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.
This investigation was conducted by the Davenport, Iowa, Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
