Davenport Man Sentenced on Federal Drug Charges
DAVENPORT, Iowa - On February 26, 2009, Michael Lloyd Coleman, age 31, formerly of Davenport, Iowa was sentenced by United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 360 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. Coleman was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release after his imprisonment, and pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.
Coleman pled guilty to being a member of a conspiracy that from December 2006 to October 9, 2007 distributed in excess of forty kilograms of crack cocaine.
This case was prosecuted in the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa. This investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Iowa Department of Public Safety, Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Davenport Police Department.
