Knoxville Man Pleads to Federal Gun Charge
DES MOINES, Iowa - On March 13, 2009, Daniel Lawrence Fisher, age 41 of Knoxville, Iowa, pled guilty to being a felon in possession of firearms, announced United States Attorney, Matthew G. Whitaker. Fisher faces the maximum penalties of up to ten (10) years in prison and/or a $250,000.00 fine, a term of supervised release of three (3) years and a $100 crime victim fund assessment.
On September 19, 2008, Fisher was arrested after being found in possession of two handguns after previously being convicted of an offense that was punishable by more than one year imprisonment.
This investigation was conducted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
