Tabor Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine
DES MOINES, Iowa - On March 24, 2009, Nicholas Sean Kempton, age 36 of Tabor, Iowa, was sentenced for the crime of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 846 and 841(b)(1)(a), announced United States Attorney, Matthew G. Whitaker. Chief United States District Court Judge Robert W. Pratt sentenced the defendant to the following: 262 months in prison, a period of supervised release of 10 years after his incarceration, and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victims Fund. Kempton pled guilty on August 8, 2008. There is no parole in the federal system.
