Marshalltown Man Sentenced for Possession With The Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine

DES MOINES, Iowa - On May 8, 2009, Timothy Roger Freiboth, age 25 of Marshalltown, Iowa, was sentenced for the crime of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(B), announced United States Attorney, Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Court Judge James E. Gritzner sentenced the defendant to the following: 262 months in prison, a period of supervised release of 8 years after his incarceration, and a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victims Fund. Freiboth pled guilty on November 5, 2008.

This investigation in this case was conducted by Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force, the Marshalltown Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the Tama County Sheriff’s Office, the National Guard Counterdrug Program, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This case was prosecuted in the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa
