Davenport Man Sentenced Federal Drug Charges

Davenport, IA - On May 29, 2009, Lamont Hill, 28, of Davenport, IA, was sentenced to 94 months imprisonment for one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base, a.k.a., “Crack” Cocaine, announced United States Attorney Matthew G. Whitaker. United States District Judge John A. Jarvey also ordered that Simpson serve a term of 8 years supervised release following his incarceration, and pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.

There is no parole in the federal system and defendants serve approximately 85% of their sentence when they successfully earn good conduct time that can be factored into their incarceration.

This investigation was conducted by the Davenport, Iowa, Police Department, and prosecuted by the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
