PLUMMER WOMAN ADMITS TO THREATENING TO BOMB THE COEUR D’ALENE CASINOSinead Shrae Ambro, 18, of Plummer, Idaho, entered a guilty plea in federal court to a charge of maliciously conveying false information, a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The charges stem from a false 911 call made on July 15, 2008. During the call, an unidentified female falsely told the 911 dispatcher that five bombs had been placed in the Coeur d’Alene Casino and would explode within minutes. As a result of the call, the Coeur d’Alene Casino was evacuated and closed for several hours. The casino was reopened after being cleared by authorities who brought in bomb-sniffing dogs from Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. After a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police, Ambro was charged and arrested. Sentencing is set for May 11, 2009, before U.S District Judge Edward J. Lodge in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. |
