EAST ST. LOUIS MAN SENTENCED FOR FIREARM OFFENSE
Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on December 3, 2010, JIMMY N. BURRAGE, age 41, of East St. Louis, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to 33 months’ imprisonment, a $100 fine, and a term of 3 years’ supervised release.
BURRAGE previously pled guilty on September 2, 2010, to being a felon in possession of a firearm. The offense took place on August 13, 2009, in St. Clair County, Illinois.
The investigation was conducted by the East St. Louis, Illinois Police Department, the Illinois State Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Donald S. Boyce and Kelly B. Lake.
