GRANITE CITY MAN SENTENCED FOR ASSAULTING A FEDERAL OFFICER USING A FIREARM
Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that, CHARLIE A. RODGERS, age 32, of Granite City, Illinois, was sentenced on December 16, 2010, in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to 194 months’ imprisonment.
RODGERS pled guilty on September 28, 2010, to two counts of an Indictment charging Assault of a Federal Officer, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
The investigation of this case was conducted by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois (MEGSI), the Illinois State Police, the United States Marshals Service Task Force, and the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deirdre A. Durborow.
