Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on December 29, 2010, MINTAI BEDFORD, age 25, of Alton, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to 90 months’ imprisonment, and a term of 5 years’ supervised release.
BEDFORD previously pled guilty on August 6, 2010, to a Superseding Indictment charging him with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base. The violation took place on or about June 15, 2009, in Madison County, Illinois.
The investigation in this case was conducted by the Alton Police Department, the Granite City Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald S. Boyce.
