Man Convicted of Distributing Child Pornography

January 31, 2011

Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced
today that on January 31,2011, ANDREW FLOYD MILLER, age 46, of Chester, Illinois, was convicted
of one count of Distribution of Child Pornography, one count of Receipt of Child Pornography, and three
counts of Possession of Child Pornography following a jury trial in East St. Louis, Illinois.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the
growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of
Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and
Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better
locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, and the
Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The case was prosecuted
