
WASHINGTON PARK MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FIREARMS OFFENSE
On June 14, 2011, Andy M. Perez, 22, of Washington Park, Ill.-, entered a plea of guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Previously Convicted Felon, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton, announced today. The Defendant is scheduled to be sentenced at 2:30 p.m. on September 23, 2011, in United States District Court in East St. Louis, at which time he faces a maximum potential sentence of up to ten years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, and not more than three years of supervised release.
Evidence in this case was obtained in an investigation which was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the Fairmont City Police Department, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. This case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Randy G. Massey.
