
East St. Louis Man Sentenced for Firearm Offense
Anthony J. Finchen, IV, (44), from East St. Louis, IL, was sentenced on January 27, 2012, in District Court in East St. Louis, IL, on one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Previously Convicted Felon, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton, announced today.
Finchen was sentenced to 31 months in prison, 3 years of supervised release, a $250 fine and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. He also forfeited the firearm. Finchen who had previously pled guilty, admitted that he had possessed the guns, knowing that he was a convicted felon and that it was illegal for him to have the guns.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
