HARDIN MAN PLEADS GUILTY AND IS SENTENCED FOR VIOLATION OF THE BALD AND GOLDEN EAGLE PROTECTION ACT
A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on August 12, 2009, JERRY M. KRONABLE, age 26, of Hardin, Illinois, entered a guilty plea in federal court in East St. Louis, Illinois, to an Information charging him with violating the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
On or about January 17, 2009, in Calhoun County, KRONABLE shot and killed a bald eagle.
KRONABLE received one year probation, a $5,000 fine, a special assessment of $25.00 and forfeiture of the firearm.
The investigation supporting this prosecution was conducted by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nicole E. Gorovsky
