MADISON MAN SENTENCED ON DRUG CHARGES
A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on June 18, 2009, LARRY LOVETT, age 27, of Madison, Illinois, was sentenced in United States District Court in East St. Louis, Illinois. LOVETT was sentenced to a total term of 276 months’ imprisonment, 10 years’ supervised release, was fined $1,000, and ordered to pay a special assessment of $400.
LOVETT had previously pled guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with the Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine and Cocaine Hydrochloride; Distribution of Crack Cocaine and Cocaine Hydrochloride; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Hydrochloride on March 19, 2009.
The investigation in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration, Fairview Heights Divisions. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deirdre A. Durborow.
