A. Courtney Cox, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that on May 22, 2009, EDWIN MORAN-ACOSTA, age 44, of El Salvador, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment, 1 year supervised release, and a $100 special assessment following his guilty plea to an indictment charging him with illegal re-entry into the United States.
