PRESS RELEASE

            The United States Attorney's Office announced that PAULA LAMB, age 52, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been charged by way of an Information with mail fraud and embezzling money from an organization which receives federal funds. Ms. Lamb is alleged to have embezzled more than $93,000.00 from the AIDS Task Force by means of unauthorized checks or unauthorized use of company credit cards. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the United States Postal Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay, who can be reached at 260-422-2595 for any inquiries.

            The specific sentence to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

            The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that the Information is merely an allegation at this time and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
