PRESS RELEASE

                      DEFENDANT SENTENCED MICHAEL L. MOORE was sentenced yesterday by United States District Court Judge William C. Lee to 60 months in prison on Counts 1 and 2 to be served concurrently, 5 years supervised release, and ordered to pay $200 special assessment. The Court ordered forfeiture of specific computer equipment.

    MOORE, age 22, of Swayzee, Indiana, pled guilty on April 12, 2004, pursuant to a Plea Agreement, to the 2-count Indictment charging him with violations of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252(a)(2) - Sexual Exploitation of Minors. Count 1 involved Moore's knowing receipt on May 22, 2001 of video tapes (controlled delivery) which he had ordered via use of a computer which depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Count 2 involved Moore's knowing receipt between January 19, 1999 and May 22, 2001, of computer graphic image files depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. MOORE was indicted on January 28, 2004.

    This case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Customs Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Grant County, Indiana Sheriff's Department and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.
