Hammond, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Hammond, Indiana, returned the following Indictments on August 16, 2007:
KEVIN M. BRYAN, age 30, of Gary, Indiana, was charged in a one count indictment with possession with the intent to distribute a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine. This case is being investigated by the Gary Response Investigative Team. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas S. Ratcliffe.
CLARENCE W. OLIVER, age 28, of East Chicago, Indiana, was charged in a one count indictment with possession with the intent to distribute five (5) grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine. Upon conviction, Oliver will forfeit any and all property used to commit this offense, including but not limited to United States Currency in the amount of $605. This case is being investigated by the Gary Response Investigative Team. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas S. Ratcliffe.
TERRANCE LITTLES, age 45, of Gary, Indiana, was charged in a four count indictment with possession with the intent to distribute five (5) grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine and possession of marijuana. The indictment also charges, having been convicted of multiple crimes from 1984 to 1995 that were punishable by terms of imprisonment exceeding one year, possession of a .32 caliber revolver with four rounds of ammunition. Upon conviction, Little of any one of the offenses, Little will forfeit any and all firearms and ammunition involved in the commission of such offenses. This case is being investigated by ATF/HIDTA. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dean R. Lanter
DANIEL RODRIGUEZ, age 35, and ARCHIE HUGHES, age 29, both of Gary,
Indiana, were charged in a seven count indictment returned on June 20, 2007 with distributing five (5) grams to fifty (50) grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine. This case is being investigated by the DEA/HIDTA and the Gary, Indiana Police Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Nozick.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that these indictments are merely allegations and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
