FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN FORT WAYNE RETURNS INDICTMENT

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, returned the following Indictment on July 25, 2007:

WILLIAM ERIC THOMAS, age 43, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was charged in a single count Indictment with unauthorized use of an access device from on or about December 10, 2006 and continuing until on or about February 20, 2007. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King, who can be reached at 260422-2595 for any inquiries.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that an Indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
