Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that it filed an Information on October 5, 2007, and McClain pled guilty on November 5, 2007:
JOYCE M. McCLAIN, age 27, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was charged in a single count Information with making a false statement and representation on an ATF Form 4473, Firearms Transaction Record when purchasing a firearm on January 2, 2007. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay, who can be reached at 260-422-2595 for any inquiries.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
