South Bend, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in Federal Court:
Iden Wilken, 63, of Mishawaka, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 9 years imprisonment after pleading guilty to counts one and two of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana in an amount less than 50 kilograms, and being an unlawful drug user in possession of firearms. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives, the Indiana State Police, and the Elkhart County Prosecutors Office. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney William Grimmer.
Tremaine Grant, 26, currently incarcerated, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein to counts one and two of an indictment charging him with bank robbery of the Teacher’s Credit Union in South Bend, Indiana, while armed with a deadly weapon, and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
Darrick Wallace, 30, of LaPorte, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein to count one of an indictment charging him with manufacture of methamphetamine. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
David Davis, 30, of Michigan City, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein to count two of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
