FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN FORT WAYNE RETURNS INDICTMENTS


Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, returned the following Indictments on August 25, 2010:

 

CHARLES BOYCE, age 40, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged in a single count Indictment with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance on or about November 27, 2007. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony W. Geller.

 

ANDREW J. HAMILTON, age 29, of Auburn, Indiana, is charged in a single count Indictment with robbery of a controlled substance on or about August 22, 2010. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Northeast Federal Bank Robbery Task Force, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley J. Miller Lowery.

 

TROY L. HOTT, age 50, of Markle, Indiana, is charged in a single count Indictment with causing another to use any facility of interstate or foreign commerce, with intent that a murder be committed as consideration for a promise or agreement to pay anything of pecuniary value between on or about July 29, 2010, and continuing to on or about July 31, 2010. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.

 

JULIO CESAR SIL CANO, a/k/a Julio Cesar Sil, age 29, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged in a single Indictment with misuse of social security number on or about June 15, 2006. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police a member of the Northern District of Indiana Identity Theft Task Force. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

 

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

 

The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that an Indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
