South Bend, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced:Shotoire Peterson, 32, of the 4400 block of Southview Lane, South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Jon DeGuilio to 15 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging her with being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Schmid.

Robert Weaver III, 28, of the100 block of N. Illinois Street, South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 12 months and 1 day imprisonment and 2 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count four of an indictment charging him with possession of a firearm as a drug user (marijuana). This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Project Disarm Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Schmid.

 

James Pappas, 57, of the 1800 block of South Otis, Westville, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 18 months imprisonment and 4 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an information charging him with possession with intent to distribute over 100 marijuana plants. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.

 

Vernon Taylor, 47, of the 4400 block of W. Huron Street, South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 30 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
