ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - FORT WAYNE

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced:

Robert Cole, 32, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, plead guilty on 2/9/10 before Magistrate Judge Robert Cosbey to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (5 grams or more but less than 50 grams of cocaine base, “crack”), and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime. Upon conviction, Cole will forfeit a Glock pistol, 9 mm; 9mm ammunition; and $6,145.00 U.S. currency. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives, the Fort Wayne Police department, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
