ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - SOUTH BEND

South Bend, Indiana—The United States Attorney's Office announced:

Seth King, 22, of North Judson, Indiana plead guilty on 2/2/10 before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein, to being a felon in possession of a firearm, to wit; a 22 cal. Marlin rifle. Sentencing has been set for May 10, 2010. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives, is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.

Aaron Tubbs, 25, of Michigan City, Indiana, plead guilty on 2/2/10 by Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein, to distribution of crack cocaine. Sentencing has been set for May 12, 2010. This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
