FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN SOUTH BEND RETURNS INDICTMENT
Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in South Bend, Indiana, returned the following Indictment on July 14, 2010:
DAMEIN TRIMM, age 28, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged in a four count Indictment with distribution of a controlled substance; being a felon in possession of a firearm; both on or about June 3, 2010; possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance on or about June 18, 2010, and June 24, 2010. The Indictment also seeks the forfeiture of a firearm. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony W. Geller.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that an Indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
