South Bend, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in Federal Court:
Isiah Ward, 23, of South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 33 months imprisonment and 2 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count two of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
Robert Knisley, Jr., 27, of North Liberty, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 24 months imprisonment, 3 years of supervised release, and a $1000 fine, after pleading guilty to count 2 of an indictment charging him with being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, and Explosives, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Schmid.
Daniel Perez, 23, of Goshen, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 37 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives, the Elkhart County ICE Unit, and Project Disarm Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Schmid.
Peter Perez, 31, of Goshen, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 24 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives, the Elkhart County ICE Unit, and Project Disarm Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald Schmid.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
