ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - HAMMOND

Hammond, Indiana—The United States Attorney's Office announced:

Thomas Slapnicker, 27, of Mentor, Ohio was sentenced on 2/26/10 by Senior Judge Rudy Lozano to 51 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to transmitting a threatening telephone call. This case was investigated by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Lake Station Police Department, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jill Trumbull-Harris.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
