UNITED STATES ATTORNEY CHARGES

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced that it filed an Information on April 20, 2010, and the defendant entered a plea of guilty on April 28, 2010. Defendant Zolnik is scheduled to be sentenced on July 19, 2010.

Jeffrey Zolnik, 54, of Angola, Indiana, is charged in a single count Information with mail fraud between on or about October 2, 2007 and October 31, 2007. This charge was filed as the result of an investigation by the United States Postal Inspection Service and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
