ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - FORT WAYNE


Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

 

Matthew McChesney, 32, of Huffman Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to counts three and four of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, and carrying a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Allen County Drug Task Force, and the Allen County Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

 

Robert Price, Jr., 31, of Florida Dr., Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.

 

Damein Trimm, 28, of Revere Place, Fort Wayne, Indiana , was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 21 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to counts one and two of an indictment charging him with distribution of cocaine and marijuana, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Trimm was previously convicted of the felony offense of operating while intoxicated in 2006. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

 

Eric Holley, 25, of McCulloch Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana , was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 30 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Holley was previously convicted of possession of a narcotic drug in 2006. This case was the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Fort Wayne Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert Trgovich.

 

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
