ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - FORT WAYNE


Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

 

Carlos Alejandro Ramirez, 33, of the 3400 block of Portage Blvd, Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to 87 months imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count two of an indictment charging him with distribution of methamphetamine. This case was the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Indiana State Police and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.

 

Antonio Lewis, Jr., 21, of the 2800 block of S. Barr Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to counts five and seven of an indictment charging him with making false statements in the purchase of a firearm, and sale of a firearm to a convicted felon. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang Unit. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.

 

Carwin James Holley-Chambers, 32, of the 2600 block of Stinson, Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count four of an indictment charging him with distribution of crack cocaine. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang Unit. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina Nommay.

 

  

 

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
