ACTIVITY IN FEDERAL COURT - FORT WAYNE

Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

Kwanya Hollopeter, 36, of the 4000 block of Dodge Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count one of an indictment charging her with counterfeiting and forging obligations of the United States, to wit: Federal Reserve notes. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the United States Secret Service and the Fort Wayne Police Department and the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

Oscar Gutierrez Lopez, 31, of the 400 block of S. Vine Street, Portland, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count two of an indictment charging him with drug trafficking (methamphetamine). These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Indiana State Police, the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Portland Police Department, the Allen County Police Department, and the Allen County Drug Task Force. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
