FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN FORT WAYNE RETURNS INDICTMENTS

 

Fort Wayne, Ind. - The United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, returned the following Indictments on July 24, 2013:

 

Keana M. Davis, 33, and Amanda McBride, 30, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana are charged in a 6 count Indictment (respectively) with conspiring to distribute and distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base, commonly known as “crack” from on or about April 15, 2013 and continuing to on or about June 27, 2013, and distribution of cocaine base, commonly known as “crack” or about April 15, 2013.   Davis is also charged with distribution of cocaine base, commonly known as “crack” on or about April 24, 2013, May 3, 2013, and May 28, 2013.   McBride was also charged with profiting from maintaining a drug involved premises from on or about April 15, 2013, to on or about June 27, 2013.   These charges were filed as a result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force and the Fort Wayne Police Department.   This Indictment also seeks the forfeiture of any property derived the commission of such charges.   This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony W. Geller.

 

Rickey D. James, Sr., 55, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged in a two count Indictment with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition on or about May 29, 2013 and possessing an unregistered firearm on or about May 29, 2013.   This charge has been filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department Bomb Squad.   This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.

 

William Sallee, 20, of Ossian, Indiana, Brandon Betz, 21, of Bluffton, Indiana, Kameron Kutzli, 22, of Dunkirk, Indiana and Tyson Allen, 26, of Bluffton, Indiana are each charged in a single count Indictment with retaliating against a witness on or about June 5, 2013.   This charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, United States Marshals Service, and the Wells County Sheriffs Department.   This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony W. Geller.

 

The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that an Indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.

 

If convicted in court, any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
