
The 2008 U.S. Attorney’s Citizens Academy in Wichita is a joint project of U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren and the School of Community Affairs at Wichita State University.
Instructors from the U.S. Attorney’s office, Wichita State University, the FBI, the DEA, ICE, ATF, Health and Human Services, Postal Inspection Service, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Wichita Police Department will teach the sessions. Topics will include crimes against children, human trafficking, gangs and violent crime, white collar crime, health care fraud, and immigration offenses.
Classes will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays (March 31, April 7, April 14, April 21, April 28 and May 5, 2008). Applications are due by March 10, 2008. For more information, call Jim Cross, public information officer, at 316-269-6481 or email james.cross2@usdoj.gov
